Deep Thoughts In A Shallow World

Poems, Thoughts, Musings

Skyline 2

Hazy hills over pylons

and chimneys leaking

smoke that adds to the cloud

that curls around gulls

and occasional shafts of sunlight.

A half-stained building

of grey and yellow rises weakly

not far to meet an uninspired sky.

  1. Hey sir, please keep updating – your stuff’s really good. About that challenge thing you mentioned, what does a haiku go like? I was told once but everyone i ask can’t remember.

    • three lines, five syllables then seven then five again.

I’m glad you like the stuff, I’ll add some more over the next couple of days.

    • They don’t usually rhyme, I’ve never seen any examples where rhyme is used.

  3. Ok thanks for helping me with poetry, stories, etc. And for the help throughout the year – I’d probably still be getting 2s if I still had last year’s teacher (no offence to her). Anyway I really appreciate it and it helped a lot so thanks.

  4. Only just saw your last comment. Do you know if you’re definitely returning next year or is there still a slight chance you’re not?

    • I think I will be back but it’s not certain.

Queens of the Stoneage album was Songs for the Deaf.

      Have a good holiday.

  5. Also, what Queens Of The Stone Age album do you have? I didn’t recognise the cover when you brought it in.
