Deep Thoughts In A Shallow World

Scratches

A stairwell spent time under me,

as I wrote hasty words, in temporary strokes.

The scratches in the paint had more art to them.

than these scratches on paper.

  2. I really like this. Short – aggressive – to the point. I liked how the stairwell spent time under you – as if it, in itself might have been doing something more worthwhile that you creating your writing/art/whatever you want to call it. I dont know why the strokes were temporary, but i like it. The scratches in the paint, wear and tear, degredation, vandalism, may have more value than your own “art”. i think this is about you doubting yourself as a writer and the pain that causes. Either way i will follow your blog. Thanks.
